Whiteside County Health Department treats a wide range of behavioral health problems, including childhood disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders and relationship problems.
Patients are initially seen by the social worker for an assessment and then the other medical staff becomes involved if medication is recommended.
The Behavioral Health Department staff includes:
- Mary Alice Wentling, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, the Behavioral Health coordinator of Whiteside County Health Department.
- Meg Corcoran, Academy of Certified Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Jennifer Hooker, M.S., Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Dave Schweppe, M. Div., a court approved mediator who provides the court approved 4 hour divorce education class.

Wentling, Corcoran, Hooker and Schweppe are available to meet with clients at the Health Department's Rock Falls Clinic, 1300 W. Second St., Rock Falls, Ill.
Whiteside County Health Department uses a team approach toward its Behavioral Health Services.

The Behavioral Health Program does not have expertise in substance abuse, eating disorders or sexual abuse disorders. To assure the best treatment possible, referrals are made for those problems.
Medicare, Medicaid and all personal insurance billed. Sliding scale fees for the non-insured and are based on income.
Appointments are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Whiteside County Community Health Clinic, 1300 W. Second St., Rock Falls. Spanish interpretation is available.
