Behavioral Health

 Whiteside County Health Department treats a wide range of behavioral health problems, including childhood disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders and relationship problems.
  Patients are initially seen by the social worker for an assessment and then the other medical staff becomes involved if medication is recommended.
The Behavioral Health Department staff includes:

  • Tracy Banks-Geiger, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Meg Corcoran, Academy of Certified Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Jennifer Hooker, M.S., Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Christina Lutz, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
  • Dave Schweppe, M. Div., a court approved mediator who provides the court approved 4 hour divorce education class.

Banks-Geiger, Corcoran, Hooker, Lutz and Schweppe are available to meet with clients at the Health Department's Rock Falls Clinic, 1300 W. Second St., Rock Falls, Ill.
  Whiteside County Health Department uses a team approach toward its Behavioral Health Services.
  The team of medical professionals that meets the needs of our patients includes:

  • Licensed Therapists
  • Family Nurse Practitioners
  • Physician of Internal Medicine
  • Psychiatrist

The Behavioral Health Program provides referrals to other specialists for people who have substance abuse and eating disorders.
  Medicare, Medicaid and all personal insurance billed. Sliding scale fees for the non-insured and are based on income.
  Appointments are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Whiteside County Community Health Clinic, 1300 W. Second St., Rock Falls. Spanish interpretation is available.
