Illinois Department of Public Health has released a new publication, “Healthy Homes: Keeping your Home Healthy and Safe.”

The 27-page document has detailed information on how you can help protect yourself and your family from lead poisoning, indoor air pollution, pest control, radon, indoor mold and carbon monoxide.

The publication, released Aug. 22, 2011, also has information on protection against unintentional injuries, such as – accidental poisonings; choking, drowning, suffocation and strangulation; fires and burns; falls; gun safety, power equipment; and riding toys and transportation.
