WHITESIDE Homecare accepts Medicaid, Medicare, insurance and private pay to provide skilled nursing, home health aides, physical therapy, occupational therapy and much more to residents of Whiteside County and the surrounding areas of Chadwick, Milledgeville, Thomson, Harmon, Nelson, Hillsdale, Hooppole, and Walnut.

Physical and occupational therapy are available as well as several new programs for people with chronic health conditions.

Telehealth is used in monitoring patients with chronic heart failure and hypertension over the telephone.
Anodyne Therapy is available for patients with diabetic neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and wound healing.
INRatio Monitor is available to check the protime/INR levels, in a persons blood, who are on anticoagulant therapy.

WHITESIDE HomeCare nurses have been trained in utilizing the MIST Therapy System in wound healing. The patented MIST Therapy System is an innovative ultrasound device that utilizes ultrasonic sound waves to heal wounds. At this time the MIST Therapy is billable to Public Aid patients only. MIST Therapy is an advanced wound care modality that promotes healing through cellular stimulation while removing bacteria from the wound. In addition, MIST Therapy System is a painless noncontact ultrasound device that heals wounds without the traditional ultrasound requirement of direct contact with the skin.

MIST Therapy creates ultrasound waves that produce and propel a gentle mist of sterile saline to the wound bed. This resulting mist of saline improves the transfer of ultrasound from the device to the wound bed without contact or pain to the patient. We have seen good results with this method of wound healing in previous patients.
